A really nice little system, very well engineered.  $4k/pr.

The white paper of the KEF R-series systems is attached below the photo.

Unofficial Klipsch Forum (the "UKF") / Circling the drain
Last post by nre - Jan 07, 2025, 10:49 AM
The Klipsch forum appears to have run its course.  There was a time when it was a source of interesting, lively discussions, and debate.  It is none of those things today.  The discussion related to its survivability given the new owners isn't of much concern, if it ceased to exist tomorrow, so be it.

I maintain this forum because it's very low impact on the server and, on occasion it's a good place to post photos of projects I'm involved in.  I'll keep it up for now but going forward there may be a decision made on its continued existence as well.

If your blue meters are acting erratic and "bounce" on occasion, the trimmer resistors for each meter on both the 2105- and 2505-meter board should be replaced.   The original is a 5kOhm Bourns series 3351 is replaced with a 5kOhm Bourns series 3352, same lead configuration with smaller thumbwheel.

Power supplies and wire looming complete.

Two amps from the customer, both really messed with by the previous owner.  Both will be getting new chassis top covers.

The rectifier/bias supply board is reworked.  Here I used 1N5408 rectifiers (Diotec Semi) and replace the brown Mylar with a WIMA MKP of equivalent value (0.47uF, 250VDC).  A 0.01uF, 2-3kV Gap-Kap across the rectifiers to suppress diode noise.  As received, the bias supply had a 1N4007 diode installed which tested good and was left in place.  The 100uF Al-electrolytic is for bias supply filtering.  A RAD Nichicon was used here.
